interesting colours, are you going for a green enamelled look or are you planning some freehand patterning in these areas ?

Going for an enameled look. I haven't ever tried freehand and I'm not sure I should start on something this big. Although anything's possible - I have a tendency to "go for it" when I feel like it.

I was thinking of doing a green/blue trim with a copper or brass lacquer effect and unlacquered green/blue for the helmet. But I am open to any suggestions if you have an idea.
@Teronus - I'm glad you like it.
The green needs some highlighting etc, but I'm going to try and keep the same basic hue. @Digganob - *high five* Thanks.
I think she's turning out quite well. She won't be perfect, but I'm learning and I've already improved in a lot of ways by working on her. So. Much. Fun.

Very nice work so far and you have a very good eye for colour combinations. Only thing I would do is tone down the white of the eyes a bit, looks somewhat stark. Maybe shading it a bit with some light grey or go over with a very, very thin glaze of dark red (I find red 926 by Vallejo perfect for this job). Other then that I think it's looking superb already.

Yup, I work on a folding camping table in our lounge/sitting room. My boyfriend and I are looking for a bigger place and we both agree that we need a hobby room!

Now an official WIP thread, has a workstation shot ! LOL If your comfortable then it works, hobby rooms are great but can fill up quick mine looks like a chaos portal with the amount of stuff on it at any given time

Well, our lounge has various plastic storage containers stacked around filled with various modeling things. Not to mention the spare room.... So it would probably be a good thing to have it in one place. And then I wouldn't have to pack everything up every few days!
Do you have a dedicated room?

yes was originally going to be a gaming room/ workshop these days it's more workshop than gaming ! Guess that's the price I pay for business lol
I am rolling eyes right now :eyeroll!: You'll understand what I mean when you want to improve your skills to a higher level. Do you think I can paint inside a mm by been all crunch out, no my whole body and brain are at work not just my hands, my feet flat on the ground, comfortably siting on my chair my fore arms resting on something and full concentration. Comfortable means nothing in your way, physical and mental. Now paint

Hey! What do you mean *when* I want to improve? ;P That's the whole point of this WIP. Well, that and some fun chats...
I do get what you mean Teronus - just making the best of what's available. I don't sit on the couches though - I do have a separate chair I use.

I'm not kidding about the toilet. Check through AndyG's thread. I have a hobby room now too and have to take constant breaks no matter how good my posture is in my 30's. It took a long time to get this far and my first hobby desk was a shelf on crates in a corner and i sat on and old stool with no padding except a phone book
