Are Vallejo paint more glossy?

Hey all,

I recently switched from using Reaper and GW paints to Vallejo for doing flesh. I\'m noticing that the result with the Vallejos is very glossy. Is that normal with Vallejos?

I even tried covering the poor mini\'s face with diluted Vallejo matte varnish (paint on), but it did little good. Do you have any suggestions?

I\'m using Vallejo and I don\'t find them shiney. Are you shaking them enough? I know that GW\'s acrylic medium in their paint doesn\'t need as much agitation as Vallejo\'s. So it could be that the pigment isn\'t as fully mixed as you\'d thought.

Oh I hope that\'s not \"Stern\" that\'s gone glossy you had enough trouble with the primer.

Hey DR,

Yep, it was Stern.

I\'m thinking it was the extender that I used (W&N), some others have told me that sometimes that happens.
