Are you in the know?

Once again Sonny slayer and I were talking and another question came up.

How many paints do you own? Can you name them all. What kind of paints are they?

Because as a Wiseman once said:
\'When you know the names of all your paints... you need more paints\'\'
Sonny Ekman

Well, can you? ???

Does \'The Mega Paintset (twice), all the Tamiya Clear Colour paints, five Humbrol metals and just about every Vallejo Green and Blue\' count as knowing them all? If you want exact names I can probably reel off a fair few, but I can\'t remember that amount of anything exactly!

Far too many to name them all but I can name the brands :D

Around 100 VJ\'s
God knows how many Citadel/GW\'s ranging from the 80\'s to present day colours
Some Reaper master colours
About a dozen Tamyia colours that I now use for attaching figures whilst painting - do they still count???
Some Foundry paints
And a set of P3\'s
And not forgetting FW inks, GW inks and W & N inks

Looking back at that list makes me think I have an adiction to paint as well as pewter lollol

Pfft. Not a chance.

Almost all of mine are vgc, and I can never remember the names of half of them, especially considering the GW names of the same colors are used more frequently.

Although I like to say \"carne muerte\" a lot. Say it with me now.... carne muerte. ahhhh.

The wise man should say, \"If you don\'t know all of your paints by name, then you don\'t need more.\" Then most of us would be fools, wilful fools. But when does a mini painter ever not need more paints? ???

And I\'m certainly not in the know.

What\'s that, hakoMike? \"Carne merde?\" I swear some people are truly sick in this world. ;)

Name them?

We have to name them now? This is a serious problem.

Ok,

I have Amy, Andrew, Sally, Fredrick, Tom, Benji, Harry....this is really stupid....

A few pots of emulsion (including Rose Blush). lol

Oh and about 100 VMC/VGC and loads of other tubed acrylics... Golden, Liquitex, W&N, Rowney etc.. Quite a few oils, alkyds, watercolours and liquid acrylics too. In fact, art materials is something I\'m not going to run out of in a hurry :D

As to naming them... not really (unless I\'m reading the label... but I guess that doesn\'t count :))

I couldn\'t give you an exact number, over 100. I could actually name them all if they were infront of me, not here by memory though.

PolyS paints had the best names though: Mind Flayer Purple and Griffon Hide Yellow are still my two favourite colours from them.

Well, I\'ve just completed my collection of the full current GW range of paints and inks so - given enough time and a bit of a run-up I reckon I could name them all....

There\'s blue, red, green, another blue, brown, that sort of nearly whitish brown one... actually, I think Vikey\'s method is better :D

I have no idea how much paint I own....and no I can\'t name them.

A good guess---
A couple of hundred vallejos, about 120-130 Reapers, a full set of Adikolor, some Tamiya, a full run of artist acrylics golden/liquitex/w&n......along with various GWs and other \"utility\" paints.

Knowing what I know now, I could probably do everything I needed to do with about 15 different paints. What a waste.....

I must need more paints.
I can not only name my paints, but can name them in the order they\'re in my painting kit.
