Are you really average?

So, after the latest sniping/scoring thread, I had a wild hair and made this....

This is based on the number of pages of 10 that each score has when you view all images sorted by score.
Here are the numbers....
Rate No Pages
9.................31
8.............. 206
7.............. 515
6...............782
5...............587
4...............142
3.................16
2...................3

So, anything over an 8 puts you above the 92nd percentile of all images ranked.

Average no of comments per image 2.2
Average no of votes 234

Total users.....7,260
Ranked users......1,403
Users w/Posts.....1,144
over 100 Posts........75 (1%)

Anyways, nice number-crunching, but my average score is somewhere between a 5 and a 6, highest is a 6.4

So am I average?

That\'s \'cause lots of people (including me most of the time) reply only when they\'ve got something constructive to say...

But you know, even if you\'ve got nothing to say, you can still say it aloud! lol

that is hysterical!! I was just working on that the other night for the exact same reasons and just never got around to posting it! (no graph on mine though)

The only glitch in there is that if I\'m using the filter for example that says: Scores from 4 to 5 - it will give you all scores with a 4.0 as well as those with a 5.0. So when you go to Scores from 5 to 6 it will give you all those 5.0\'s AGAIN as well as the 6.0\'s.

Thopugh not perfect it is still a neat exercise. Now I wish we had a similar breakdown from a year a ago and then a year before that and then every year we should log it to see if really the scores are shifting with any significance.

I don\'t think any solid conclusions can really be made along the lines that people paint better over time or that people vote harsher then they did in the past but it still would be cool to look at . . .

Probably. At the time I did the numbers, there were 32,176 forum posts, and 50,194 comments. Which is indicative I think of another question about where people spend their time most on the site.
Anyhoo I thought it was interesting. I wonder how many users have posted comments?

It is good I don\'t have access to the database or I would bore everyone to tears with average time from joining to posting, and average time from first post to ranking. Top rank gainers, bottom rank losers. That would really rev up the sniping ballot stuffing stuff.

I don\'t brag about being a minipainter, but then I never had reason to brag about any of my hobbies.

If someone actually asks me directly, and IF I don\'t bother to avoid the issue.... Then after the answer, they give a blank stare; \"Uh what?\"
Try to tell them its associated with RPGs and Wargaming, and it just gets worse.

Best to have the unenlightened masses live in ignorance.

I don\'t watch much TV either. Maybe an hour a month... So maybe I am hardcore? ???

Hello my name is Boubou, and I\'m a mini-painter.

Everything began when I was younger, I wanted to try a new hobby, and I saw these guys in a shop, so I just thought \"It\'s not going to harm me, it\'s really nothing\"... So I bought one, with all the material needed... it was just for a try... And now, several years later, I sometimes wake up in a puddle of mud, and I need to go paint a bit.. My wife left me, my kids won\'t return my calls... sob... Painting minis sure is a hard drug

Hi Boubou

First I\'d like to thank Boubou for the topic today. It really has meaning in my life right now. I\'d also like to say that I didn\'t come here to quit smoking and drinking coffee, so I would really appreciate it if everyone would just keep that preference to themselves.
I also think people who don\'t pay their dollar shouldn\'t get any coffee.....
