Hi.

Before anything sorry for my english, i\'m spanish speaker :p

The question is: Which material/s are they made Reaper Heroic Sculpting Armatures?

Same these http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=961 or others similars.

In order to know if it\'s posible cut, to double, to twist, etc,...

Thanks :p

as far as i know they\'re made of the same material as the minis. I hve several of the other tpye, originally done by chris fitzpatrick, and those are made from pewter.

Personally, I hate those types because I can\'t bend them how I want them without breaking them, so I use copper wire (16-18 gauge I think) and I just use bits of GS to \"Weld\" them together. For straighter stuff that needs more support, I also have steel wire but it doesn\'t bend as good as copper. This method is good for non human things that the proportions are slightly different, but you have to build up the shape more..
Hope this helps! :p

I was thinking buy one and make new latex or silicon armatures from this, more manageables at time to work with armatures. It\'s only a idea.

Latex and silicone copies of armatures? Those will not be strong enough to provide support while sculpting and putty will not adhere well. Any bending and the putty will come off again. Apart from that, it\'s illegal to make copies this way.

I assume you want to do this as you need muscles as reference and flexibility for th poses? Best way to go for poses is as Crispy says, wire armature. Cast armatures can be bend but only a few times and not into extreme poses.

The best way to reposition (not a scratch builder more a converter) armatures is a bit of \'surgery\' chop it off and pin it into the position required, then back-fill with putty.

Da,na! Instant dynamic pose!!!!:D

well thats how I would do it, easy!
