Armorcast at GD?

Anyone know if armorcast models would be allowed at the GD? It would be heavily converted and it has the copyright of the games workshop (1998). Would it qualify in the large monster, vehicle category? Anyone in the know who could clear this up for me.

Cheers!

Write GW :) By far you\'d get the best result by asking at head office, but my bet is you would be allowed to enter it as it is a GW production, old yes, but GW did sell it once upon a time. Just like I\'m sure you could enter a Thrudd the Barbarian model? If you used the GW produced one.

I used to design for Armorcast and I actually saw one of my pieces in a diorama in White Dwarf (also saw another of my pieces in No Quarter:cool: ). I would assume that as long as the focus of the piece is a GW produce you should be OK.

Which Armorcast piece are you using?

Okay thanks folks..... I don\'t want to say which piece I\'m working on at the moment. reason why is that, knowing me i might not have it done in time and i dont want to big it up sorta thing. *coughs* pm\'d you *coughs* ;)

Basic answer will be NO.

Armourcast no longer have the license (Somewhat Acrimoniously if I remember correctly) therefore GW would not normally allow it.
Might go in the Open Category, if you are lucky, but there are some eagle eyed people there.

Ahhh erm..okay so we got mixed answers..thanks all. I think i better get in contact with them. The model does have a copyright mark of the gw so i just figured that i could but it better to check up on these things...thanks again.

Id say there may of been a time when you would of been ok to enter it but Id not chance it any more. You might get away with entering it but you take the chance of it being quietly ignored in judging.

What I\'m not getting here is that if the piece was produced under liscense from GW and is/was a GW product where\'s the problem. ???

I agree, can\'t see the problem either... It was GW produced, hence you should be allowed to enter it... even without people quietly ignoring it in judging... that would just be strange and silly...

I gave them a ring yesterday and got diverted to an answering machine in the events dept. :( I\'ll give it a few days before trying again.....don\'t want them thinking I\'m some sort of bunny boiler...plus, i hate answering machines :flame:
