Army Builder?

does anyone know of a free upto date army builder for warhammer 40000 ve tried the GW one but its missing files!

Um...why not use Army Builder? It covers every game system imaginable and gets updates everytime an FAQ/codex/armybook/rulesbook or anything is released. Dont even go there about the mistakes, there are very few, they get fixed and updated very fast and if you have your codex you should freakin realize the mistakes without much trouble anyway. I mean, you should be refering to the codex anyway. Waiting a couple days for a problem free version shouldnt be too much for anyone to handle. Certainly alot easier than using a pen and pad of paper which is still available at any time as well.

Just Army Builder and the one done by GW which you need to buy 2 versions of to be able to make all the lists because it has Enemies of the Imperium Interactive Army List and Allies of the Imperium IAL. And on top of that the GW one isnt very well supported from what I hear lately.

Oh and there\'s also a few websites that have army lists you can play with or excel files they made for the task. Sometimes downloadable and sometimes strait on the site. You\'ll have to do a google search for them since I havent kept track of them since they get outdated so often.

army builder looks like a grwat program but for some reason in the new rules u can combine a commander, librarian and chaplain to count as one hq choice but in army builder it doesn\'t allow it???

Sure it does... If you add a Master/Captain/whatever, in the box where the weapon options are (bottom right); scroll down, there\'s the option to \"attach chaplain\" and \"attach Librarian\"... hope that helps!

i have checked wiv my local gw store manager and he agrees wiv me

Well, some of the rules in the Space Marine Codex needn\'t apply to the expansion books, i.e. Space Wolves, Blood Angels or Dark Angels. Also, those Codices don\'t explicitly allow the attaching of, say, Chaplains and Librarians. True, the Codex Space Marines Does, but Dark Angels aren\'t exactly a Codex Chapter, are they? They might change this in the upcoming 4th ed. Dark Angels book, but as for now, the Army Builder is right in not allowing it.

You need to click on the settings at the top and check the line that says Show Special Characters.

got army builder 2.2 haavent got the money for 3.0 so ive had to edit some of the old points lol
