Army painter base caot sprays

as anyone out there used these sprays, and if so are they any good, i have always used GW sprays but as they only do black or white, i am thinking of changing as i want to try grey, plus army painters do lots more colours, is this a good choice or are there better spays out there in grey, i need to be able to get hold of them in the UK, please help if you can, thanks guys.

i have a bone one and it\'s alright. i have heard they generally aren\'t much cop.

if you want a lovely grey finish at a good price, try halfords. especially if it\'s for a primer, much better than a lot of the competitors. try it, you won\'t regret it

I personally haven\'t used them, but my housemates have. They are generally more consistent in their application as the can empties compared to say, the GW ones, which can spurt and thin out near the end, but they tend to come out rather glossy.

i will try the halfords grey, never thourght of going to a car spares shop, lol. will get some tomorrow. is it halfords own make or does it have a name brand ?

You can also look for Hycote. Supposedly they make the Halfords stuff anyway and it\'s cheaper.

Independent auto suppliers. I think it is widely available in the UK from what I\'ve read; here\'s what it looks like.

Price on Screwfix is okay if it comes to it.

Just a matter of curiosity... are the army painters cans a water based acrylic paint?

Or are they a solvent based laquer or enamel?

Yep, I certainly think so. Haven\'t read any complaints among the armour or aircraft modellers who use it either.
