yo ho ho and a bottle o\' rum!

This is very cool!

I love the red coat. Excellent blending, cool colors. He is very piratey indeed!

I\'d say it is a high 8, so I voted a 9!

Hi!
I really like your pirate. The blending is superb and the colours well chosen. I\'m glad I didn\'t have time to participate in Freebooter\'s competition, \'cause I would hate to go up against this one! ;)

*edit* ... and it\'s a solid 9 in my book!

Rum, soddomy and the lash....

Great pirate...:D

I think it is let down a little bit though by the inconsistency of the white piping. If I were you, I think I would have omitted the back shot;)

Reminds me of Captain Pugwash....(before your time...)

Thanks everyone.

@Wealon: The pics I sent to FreeBooter are better, maybe I shouldn\'t blow my pictures up but upload some smaller ones next time.
And blue, yes. I tried to photoshop the blue away but...I can\'t seem to get rid of it. I tried a grey backround last time and people commented on it, saying I should try a blue one.... so here I am with the blue one again...I don\'t know, next time I\'ll buy a pink one, or what do you guys think of chartreuse?. :D

@Dirty Steve: I thought about not posting the backshot as well but I\'m just not that kinda girl. :innocent:

Very nice work...
Photos are hampering him a bit though. You won\'t be able to shift a colour cast and still make the photo look natural in PShop. Individual photos need to be a touch smaller too. Shrink the height to 400-420 pixels and they\'ll fit perfectly!
As for background colour - a really light blue works well. What lighting you using?

I took the liberty of adjusting size and levels in Photoshop to see if I could get a pic more to my liking (you\'re welcome to disagree, though). Here\'s what I cooked up :

That\'s fantastic, Wealon! How did you do that? You can do all my pics from now on! :D
I took the liberty to upload this one and remove the old. Heh.

@Spacemunkie: I took the pics outside under daylight. Bad idea ???

EDIT: Oh, it just occured to me that now I\'ve erased all previous votes. Sorry guys. :(

Hey! I\'m NOT a bastard! The rest, well...

However, I AM lazy!;) Do you have a link to the NEW post yet? The old link at the top just takes me to random entries now.

QUick work! Thanks! I even get to be the first vote after you! One of life\'s little pleasures! :D

Beautiful work! I gave you a well-deserved 9! May have to go back in a bit, after some votes have accumulated and bump that to a 9. Keep up the good work!

Photoshop : auto-levels, replace color (I toned down the saturation of the reds on the back of the cloak because they sticked out a bit too much), sharpen, image size. Voilà ! :wow:

I\'m sure you can grab an old version of Photoshop for cheap. Or go for Paint Shop Pro or GIMP, I hear they do the job just as well. :)
