I know I don\'t speak out as much as I used to over here, but I started a little project over at conceptart.org that I thought you guys would dig seeing. We are doing pirates and I\'m doing a lusty pirate lass. Here\'s my rough concept sketch and my first wip using the new procreate putty. I\'d listened to the raves about it vs. green stuff and thought I\'d take it for a spin. What I like about it is the nice neutral gray color, but I don\'t like how it tends to de-laminate from previous layers when trying to smooth with water. Over all when weighing vs. green I\'d go slightly on procreates side, mainly due to the color making the figure much easier to see when sculpting. So enough rattling on with the pics...

1) Pretty good so far.

2) ...but the head is too small.

3) ...and the breasts, while well-proportioned, are kind of high.

Keep working on it and I bet it\'ll turn out looking fantastic. It\'s already way better than I could do!

More boobies indeed LOL She\'s 35mm scale based on the great size chart from Prophet Miniatures. Her head is correctly scaled, but the chin and jawline were not correct, so I\'ve added to correct that. Hopefully I\'ll have more pictures this weekend to share

Well got her finished up tonight. Fixed the leg on the cannonballs and added a few final details like a dagger in her boot, a necklace, as well some filigree work on her skirt. Posted her for voting here Maybe I\'ll paint her up if I feel inspired down the road... Hope you guys enjoyed it.

I\'ll see if I can fool my camera into doing some closer shots of her face. I fiddled with the shutter speed and fstop on the last shots for a better depth of field, which I got, but at the loss of some detail.

I really like this one!!!

At first I thought the legs looked too chunky but this soon balanced out once the clothing was added.

Any plans to cast her up?

Updated the thread pic with a better face shot. I\'ll probably do some castings in resin at the very least. My first attempt at a metal run left a bad taste in my mouth, so I need to find a new foundry that will make me a happy customer

love it the initial pics and the comments made have hit the nail on the head with the problem I am having with my sculpting attempts I try to be too anatomically correct before starting clothes etc ..this is a lovely looking sculpt thanks for sharing.
