here\'s something i painted recently for Hasslefree miniatures. this is one of the only pics i managed to take before i posted him off (must spend more time photographing my minis)

He is 28mm and sculpted by the legend that is Tom Meier. the detail on the cast is amazing (well it was a resin master)

after my eyes re-adjusted to the scale i had a shot at that nmm thingy too!....woot!

anyway enjoy!

He\'s a rather clean, well-shaven pirate, but that\'s beside the point. He\'s also well-painted, and the NMM is great. Nice work.:)

I thought at first look, that it was a 54mm figure. superb sculpt, and Excellent painting, love the face, great job all round:D

After all the only difference between a \"privateer\" and a \"pirate\" was whether you were the government whose ships they were looting, or the government who was paying them to loot...

the details of the fabric really jumped out at me - at the risk of much humor at my expense...I really like his pants! lol

Very very nice, I am going to get me one of those I think. I love the whole look of the mini and the nmm is cool too.

I love the sculpt and your work on it is nice as well. Perhaps not the best blending I\'ve seen from you, butit\'s easy to get fooled by it\'s size. It must be very hard to paint something that look 54mm and really is 28mm.. brings up the expectations.

the NMM on the sword used space wolf grey, shadow grey, white and black.

generally mix the shadow grey and space wolf grey together and then blend up with white and add more shaow grey for the blue tinge and a little black for the darks.

i\'m still learning, i kinda made it up as i went along!
