Lol at all the backers. A special extra mega-uber epic lolz-a-palooza at the $10,000 backer. Wankers all.

Also, all the backers should send me money so I can do nothing and get rich too. Thanks!

And it's over a year old...

What was it that P. T. Barnum said?

Besides "Turn out that light!" The other thing. You know. About the cherry tree?

I dunno, I didn't look, I did see it was finished though. I stumbled across it.

One of them is called Brainard...

Welcome to the art movement. It doesn't matter how stupid or obvious or insane your art is, as long as you're the first one to do it (that people know of/remember).

Because one lady pledged $10,000 for some imaginary fresh air. Which she is putting in imaginary bottles and reselling for $300.

Err ......what? I mean realy wtf?!? A fool and their money are soon parted and the emperors clothes all rolled up into to one arty farty scam. But then again I'm far more for artisans rather than alleged artists.

Y'know, after watching that clip I kinda sat there for a bit and pondered how I felt about it. My feelings see-sawed for a bit, and finally levelled out as:

embarrassed.

I am embarrassed to be associated with those folks, simply by dint of being the same species. It's not just the seriousness with which they take themselves, but the seriousness with which others clearly take them. Gnngngnn. I'm off to take a shower...

I have a bunch of my minis on display there. Current rating is 9.8 I may add. I would have posted here but I don't have a good camera. Oh and they are for sale if anyone is interested.

Come on, this is brilliant and hilarious! It doesn't matter how well art is done anymore, the level of skill, and they just take it to the next level. What remains of art but the brand? At least you don't get disappointed when the concept is realised!

Best part: She who bought the fresh air didn't even get the little title card describing the non existing piece of art. She did get refunded. lol

I didn't watch the video (because I'm at work) but I have to echo the general comment of "wtf?". There's a lot of special people out there (window lickers all of them)

I don't think we should even compare them to these absolutely deliberately insane inane idiots! Blood boils at this level of assanine fatuous self indulgent ineptitude portraying itself as artistic expression.

Ha not on a soap box here .........honest :)

I might sue them. I imagined I had this idea years before them, while I was taking tea with the Grand MuckyMuck of Atlantis.

It's just concepts and ideas. Why bother realising the idea and waste a lot of resources in the process? There's a lot of "artists" wasting good, honest, paper and paint.

Talk about being environmentally friendly!

I think there are a lot of consulting firms that could sort themselves under a very similar banner as well. And self-help literature. Ever heard of people selling their ideas? This is it!

Frankly I can't see one negative aspect in all of this! Let's hope and pray that more conceptual artists go into the realm of invisibility for their future works!
