Well I got sent home from hospital for the time being so I thought I would quickly answer a couple of questions I received in my message box.
The skin I approached slightly differently for a change and started with a brownish green coat all over her.I used P3 paints pretty much exclusively - Basecoat was Battle Dress Green mixed with midlund flesh not much though just to lighten the green a little. The skin was then gradually brought through the first stages of highlight by adding Rucksack Tan and Midlund flesh to the base colour then to a purer flesh color, a mix of Midlund flesh with a dot of Rucksack tan, a bit of Idrian Flesh and Menoth White Highlight to gradually bring this colour right up through several stages of highlight to a light flesh. I used many many thin layers to achieve the look and tried to keep the colours nice and warm. The rosey colours on the buttocks for example I did by tinting a little of the flesh mix with a tiny bit of red ink. The golds are Blighted gold mixed with Rhulic gold washed down with blue ink and Bestial Brown. I used a little green ink in a very thin second wash to the creases and crevices. Highlights are Blighted/Rhulic - then add a little bright silver like Mythril or Quicksilver (not yet released from P3).
The shield center I just painted black, then blocked in the shapes of the little scene I was painting with a bone colour (Menoth White Base- P3). I could then tweek and correct any mistakes in the blocked out shapes with black paint. Then I used a #1 brush with a very fine tip to black line the design.
Finally I mixed up an orangey/yellow coloured ink and glazed over the design making it nice and patchy and aged looking. Multiple coats were applied of various oranginess. One mix was quite red for some lower parts of the shield design.
The image was taken from a greek mythology book and is a design on some piece of ceramic wear.
