I don't think we actually "need" lots of fans. It does help draw more visitors though, because if you are a fan on Facebook, and you "like" or comment on the Blasts from the Past posts then all your friends automatically see that too, which helps draw new visitors to the site.

And also, it's nice to have lots and lots of fans. hahaha

I have a Facebook account, but haven't logged onto it in months.

But if I ever get over there again, I'll be sure to become an "official" fan.

I signed up. It's kinda neat. Every now and then I get to see a mini on the news page and not someone sending me farmville cash or mafia wars brass knucks or something else equally useless.
