Storm in a D-cup
You\'ve got to laugh - she\'s a bit silly. Actually, I only just noticed she\'s not wearing any knickers while browsing the Darksword website. Dirty girl! I think I was distracted by the large knockers. It\'s a bit odd, but at least she actually has pubes - a startling amount of pewter ladiees of the naked persuasion are thoroughly shaved. Which is fine in a 21st century girl but rather strange in warrior girls from the 1st century. You\'d think it\'d chafe in combat.
Does this bother me? Dunno. I\'m a woman in a male-dominated hobby, so you could say I\'m asking for it - the ruling gender is male, and what do men stereotypically like? Right. The way I see it, I can either laugh and get on with it (and vote with my money by either buying the mini or not) or I can leave the building. It\'s not like she\'s the first model of this type, and I very much doubt she\'ll be the last. I really would like to see the gender balance redressed in the CMON comp figures tho - some of the female sculpts have been lovely (e.g., Celia, the elf queen and the barbarian chick whose name escapes me) and I own them, but I like variety.
Would I buy this model? I am considering it. Her armour (what there is of it) makes her look quite Planescape (i.e., spikey, with extra spikes), which is my big obsession right now, so with some suitable conversion in the southerly regions she\'d look quite good next to my mercyillers and harmonium. A nice tunic/skirt thing would go a long way towards saving her blushes. Some of them, anyway.
