Great work, balkan! I've used this "successive wash" technique for painting up typical rank & file figures, and I agree with you that it both gives the best results, and is the quickest. Something I've also done (since I use mostly Vallejo) is add a bit of the Glaze Medium to the second and third washes--this helps make them a little more transparent. (Oh, and BTW, your English is fine--leagues better than my Swedish! ;) )

Interesting article, but how to you keep the flow enhancer from eating into your dried paint? I have tried the same tecnique before but the, i found out the hard way that too much flow enhancer chews up your dried paint!

Your English is probably better than mine, and it is my ONLY language! Excellent article. I have tons of minis I wouldn't mind doing a faster "tabletop" technique with, and your article really fits the bill. Good results, good pics, great job!

The best article I read for a long time. By chance I had some unpainted Gobbos to try it, I'm really pleased with the result. And it was done pretty fast, too.

Thanks for that, fast painting is something I'm forced to do these days so I can at least play the games. This looks best for mostly naked models like nids, ogres, orks etc. What about armour tho?
