Cheers for the good reviews guys (and gals)! Coir is some kind of natural fibre. It kinda looks like fine strips of wood fibre or something like that, i think rubberised horsehair can be used as a subtitute but I have not been able to get hold of any. Try looking in a fabric/arts and crafts store. Foamcard is like the insulation foam you decribe, jay, but it is sandwiched between card. The stuff used in the article is about 8mm thick. I may add some more piccies for reference

Naff is an English slang word for 'not quite right' , ' a bit silly looking', and 'try hard looser' all in one.

The trees came out great by the way! I used an old dead 'welcome' mat instead of coir.

By fare the best article about trees I've seen.
Godd work. The only thing I got to complaine about is this coir, its nearly as expansive as the GW trees where I live. Do you know what I could use instead?
