great article!!! simple and well explained, I would Add to it if I may that you could put little spheres (or anything else really) when you make the mould or even go as fas as drilling a coulple of holes in the mold so that you can vent most of the exess putty that way and have a much thinner layer of flash.

Mr Zay, that's a great idea. I was thinking about some way to vent to mold, but since the putty is not liquid I'm not sure how well it will work. I'll certainly give it a shot and post here with the results!

It might reduce the amount of flash if you "packed" each side of the mold with putty separately, then put the halves together and let it cure. But I haven't actually tried this...

Nice Tutorial, I would recommend, a C-clamp and two blocks of wood, to get the pressure on the mold, and use procreate, or a putty mix that, you can trim and file easily. That helps with the clean up.

This IS AWESOME! I lost the helmet/ chestpiece to one of my AoBR Terminators, and I used this technique to replace it, and got stunning results, you can't tell which is the milliput model! Also, No Such Agency's recommendation to pack each mold half separately does cut down on the flash cleaning that needs to be done. Thanks, guys!!

i find that a light spray with wd 40 prevents the milliputt from sticking to the mold

a dremel multi tool is good for sanding and shaping

saw it,tried it,worked perfectly!thou i used green stuff for the cast ^_^
