The British post can\'t be that bad, I\'ve had some things bought on eBay or from Copplestone arrive with blinding speed. I think it does vary widely though - but then again so does post between Canada and the USA.

I think it\'s more about the \"service\" we recive within the UK rather than what happens to outgoing post. Hopefully, the pack should be with you within a week - just don\'t expect too much

Got my package from Stro to day, so no worry from that Flagged one, nice and quick and all.

Haven\'t even opened it, because I wanted to be sure to post here so ZapotekE would know he was clear to send.

EDIT: okay opened the package, eventually. From this point forward Stro shall be known as Mr. Tape.

Mr. Tape sent me a rather nice, rather sealed box of Chainmail minis, a set called Drazen\'s Horde. Really nice, and litterally my first D&D minis since I was like 8 (1983).

I wish... I placed an order with BitzBox and haven\'t seen anything yet in the few weeks that have passed since I received their email saying it had shipped.
(In fairness to the company: I emailed late last week to ask about it and got replies twice (to my original email and my follow-up) in less than an hour each time. First they said that recent UK postal strikes have been causing havoc with some shipments, then they said they might have messed up and sent it surface rather than air. Either way, they asked that I give it another couple weeks to be safe and if I still don\'t have it, they\'ll refund my money. I have no complaint about the company or how they\'re handling a problem that might not actually be their fault; I\'m just sad to have finally encountered the first problem I\'ve ever actually had, personally, with getting something from the UK.)

On an more ME13-related note, I got OnisLair\'s minis out Tuesday morning, so he should be getting them Thursday. And I got another email from Ifearnobeer75, warning me it might be a couple extra days as he lives in northern Ohio which is experiencing massive flooding -- I used to live within an hour or two of northern Ohio, so I did a search and found this article about what\'s going on there:

Thats OK, I have enough on my hands with my GD entries for the moment so I can bear the wait although I\'m anxious to see what I get. Undave, sorry about not sending out yet, school just started again and, well LOOOOOONG days (and some very short ones ) I\'ll try and send out on monday.

My lot went off to canada a few days ago after I had to abandon envelope 2 as it was insuficiently capacious. I managed to get rid of some big chunks of metal as well as finding some local colour this time

Well, I sent off a nice little package to beowulfthehunter yesterday (Thursday) so it should be arriving fairly soon - we\'re only a state away from each other. I feel kinda bad, though, everybody else seems to be sending boatloads of figures and, well... I sent more than two but not a boatfull by any stretch. Got two in original packaging, though. (Kinda sad, in hindsight.)

I was kicking around ideas about local color, but sending a bottle of Vernor\'s Ginger Ale or a bag of Better Made potato chips would\'ve been impractical, methinks? (Or I could\'ve sent a car tire, me being near the Motor City and all...)

I heard from toxc and PM\'ed my contact info, and am assuming he received the PM at this point...

Hey Tinweasel, I\'d have you ship me out some Faygo and Better Maid (I can actually get Vernors out here now), if I wasn\'t already coming back to visit in November. Born and raised in Detroit, 27 years there before moving to L.A. and it\'s the little things I still miss... can\'t wait to hit the White Castle once I get back!

I\'d try not to worry too much about how many figures you sent -- although, having sent out five myself, I know how you feel after seeing some of these other shots!

Got my minis from EldinTux yesterday:

There are 2 GW minis - a Flagellant and one serious brute of a minotaur! The middle one is a Grenadier fighter, and I will probably paint that one as I am partial to old minis. Hope Orkydave gets his package soon.

Glad to see they got thru OK. And I\'m glad to hear you say you would paint the Grenadier fighter - I\'m partial to the older figures too. Approx half of my metal mountain is made up of Grenadier or Ral Patha

Billys went out yesterday too, so should be on his desk at work after the Bank Holiday!

Theres a couple in there specifically for when baby bulp gets bigger! When he\'s bored of pulling can can dancers and wants to \'help\' daddy paint his shiney new toys, just give him those ones.
