Received the package from Trevor in Australia today, and a great package it was. I don\'t have a digital camera right now but I will try to borrow one to post a pic, but until then maybe Trevor can help me identify some of them as I\'m not very good at that.

Contents:

A GW Bret holding a sword and a halberd,

A GW space marine scout holding a wicked looking gun,

A GW elf holding a sword and bow,

2 chars that almost look like some sort of space pirate. One dated 2004 and the other dated 1978! One female holding 2 pistols and a male holding a pistol.

An older looking mini holding a gun wearing armor that almost looks asian.

A female holding 2 swords with similiar asian looking armor/helmet. (the one in the individual bag.)

2 coins, 1 Australian that says 5 and the other is unknown to me.

AND, a wonderful base of about 3.5-4\"diameter (Resin?) that is of a crumbling wall. Look forward to using this.

Could you help me identify some of these Trevor? Sorry for my lack of knowledge. I am especially interested in the coins as I have a small coin collection from all the countries I\'ve visited while I was in the military and these will fit in nicely.

Thanks,
Sartaan

My camera is officially dead, but I want it known that I\'ve painted one of the two minis I received, with a slight conversion to his weapon. I\'ll be getting a new camera after Christmas, and then there will be a full day of taking pictures to get my gallery up to date.

The second mini I got, I\'m still trying to decide on a colour scheme, but he\'s primed and ready.

My minis from PlaneCrazy arrived a couple of days ago, some really cool stuff in there, no idea what range they\'re from though, particularly like one evil looking dude with a big swooping cloak :)

I\'ll post a picture up when i get some time :)

I got Zapotke\'s package today. It was crammed full of goodies.

I got one Avatars of War Mini (Dark Elf Sorceroress sp?), three minis from Rackham, a Space Marine Techmarine and last but not least....

a Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail bobblehead of God.

I\'ll post pics tomorrow!

Thanks again Zapotke. I had a really crappy week and the package really helped get my weekend going.

Will get a package off to nick232 as soon as I can. Definately be before the end of the week. Hopefully sooner. No clue how long Can Post will take to ship overseas though, I know they can take forever just to ship to the states. If it isn\'t signicanlty more I will try to ship by some method with a tracking number.
Did you manage to get a tracking number or not? My package from Canada took a few weeks more than I anticipated considering geographically we\'re not that far apart. I\'d hate to think what it takes to get something overseas from Canada.

No unfortunately my Wife shipped it surface mail, which doesn\'t give a tracking number. The only Canadian shipping method that does is Expresspost, which is rediculously expensive for anywhere outside of Canada.

I apologize for the delay, I did get the item out that Friday. I know my Wife shipped some Thudercats stuff we sold on eBay and it took 9 weeks to get to the UK. That was a large item though, I didn\'t expect my smallish box to take that long. I think from now on I will stick to shipping to North America for Mini Exchanges, at least then things are somewhat more timely.

What really pisses me off is the fact that they just raised their shipping rates and will be raising them again. So we keep paying more and more for packages that take over a month or two to arrive at their destinatin. :flame:

Just double checked shipping times on the CDN post website. It says 4-6 weeks for international but that it doesn\'t include any time the package is held at Customs. So based on that the package should be at customs by now, but I have no clue how long something like that could take.

EDIT: I just checked shipping costs as well, to see how much Expresspost would cost. For a 5lb package thats a foot by a half a foot and about 2 inches deep it would cost me $78 to ship Expresspost which includes a Tracking Number. The same package costs $34 for surface. For that big a price diff. I might as well just paypal people money and they can buy their own minis.

Generally UPS, Fedex, Purolator and other shipping companies are even more then Canada Post. I think the same is true of The States IIRC, USPS is cheaper then UPS but slower.

I just confirmed with my wife, who ships internationally a lot more often then I do, she says average 6-8 weeks to the U.K. dispite what Can.Post says. Her longest was 9.5 weeks which was the Thundercats toy I mentioned earlier.

I just hope the package does arrive at some point. I\'ve officially changed my \"ship to\" for the next ME and will keep it to within the same Continent.
