Hmm... I think the upper half is quite good, but his legs on that side picture look weird and skinny. Not too sure about the cracked lava effect either, it looks a bit crude, like a skin disease :D

Far be it for me to be a stern critic, but according to the fluff for the eldar his left hand was a \'bloody\' hand, why then they have put the sword in his left is quite honestly... ???

I have seen models with one hand bloody, but this is what wikipedia says:

\"In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Khaine is a god of the Eldar associated with battle, war and conflict. Many scholars believe him to be a manifestation of the Eldar\'s racial passion as manifested in battle and warfare. \"Kaela Mensha\" is not technically part of Khaine\'s name, but is a title he bears. It roughly translated to \"bloody-handed\", a reference to the blood which eternally drips from his hands as a reminder of his murder of the ancient Eldar hero, Eldanesh.

Khaine is one of the two surviving gods of the Eldar. In the old pantheon, he was second only to Asuryan himself in power, and was often shown as the enemy of Vaul. He is also the most violent and reckless of the gods. Asuryan was so appalled by his murder of Eldanesh, a mortal, that he cursed Khaine and made his hands drip eternally with the blood of Eldanesh so that everyone would remember what he had done.\"

I think you can get away with both hands being bloody. He\'s a combat machine and probably wields his weaponry two handed from time to time. And that blood gets everywhere :)

I quite like the FW Avatar. The sculpting is nice but the pose is less than great. I\'m actually pleasantly surprised by the price (£45) and may consider getting one sometime...

Dammit!!! I was soooooo over 40K and the Eldar.

The Avatar is a useless model gaming wise. It hasn\'t been worth it since 2nd edition. He brings a knife to a gun fight, he is incredibley slow, has a terrible armour save, and isn\'t summoned like other Daemons. But the model is nice.

I think I am going to have to get one too. I will resist for a while. usually the urge goes away. lol

I don\'t like how they\'ve done the cracks, it looks more like mistakes in the moulding process to me than a style point.

I\'m ok with the pose, and the head does look nice, but overall, not real into it

I DO like the Death Korps of Krieg though!

Though I have to agree with EricJ about the crusty flesh or whatever looking more like a casting screw-up. And the legs look a little too spindly.

But overall it\'s a nice mini. I would buy it if it was an inch higher than the normal one, which isn\'t a bad mini anyway.

well...

I\'m a business analyst at CIBC in Toronto....the card technology office.

doesn\'t pay that great, but bonuses are better than most, and we get stocks and other banking benefits and flex hours.

So that, plus selling older stuff on ebay, I do have cash.

Also, living at home is the biggest part of my savings :p

hehe

Now that getting married soon and home, that will change. Ebay funds will be used to buy smaller stuff; larger stuff, i will discuss with shilps first or she gets me as a gift :D
