Excellent handling of a complex subject. Thank you for the time, thought, and effort that quite obviously went into this! My printer's ink cartridges are already crying. lol
I LOVE your little lo-tech "light sources". They make me think of an exhibit at a science museum or something. A very informative article, and long-awaited, too! It would have been nice if the article went step-by-step through one of your "actual" models, so it finished with the drool-worthy final piece, but that would be a lot of hassle I know The effort of even a quicky paint job just for the article is appreciated. (BTW the model "Fire !!!!!" that he mentions is #78595)
Well, the colour scheme is complete crap, but I assume you used such a wide variety of colours to demonstrate the effect, which is awesome, so you're forgiven. I'll definitely give it a try....
Wow, you clearly spent a lot of time preparing this for all of us, that deserves no less than a 20, but you'll have to settel for 10. I will make sure to meditate on everyone of your words and live up to this great treat. Brilliant!
Simply outstanding thank you very much for providing the article. Now I can try OSL with some degree of certainty that the results will be worth looking at.
Just started working on implementing this effect for the first time. Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking about this. Even more so to find such a thorough discussion of the method. Thanks for sharing!
