Article: Paint stripping plastics

You need to learn punctuation. Otherwise, this looks like a great way to strip plastics, I've been looking for this. There is, however, one thing I'd like to ask. Why do you ned to put the bag in a box? What's the difference?

well, i reckon i know punctutation, but neways, the bag is to keep the model soaking in the over cleaner, as when u leave the oven cleaner, the foam starts to condense and become liquid, so run off the model. However, if you have the model in a bag, the liquid doesnt run all over the place, and stays concentrated under the model, so helping to remove more paint.

Another way to achieve this is to use nail-varnish remover for FALSE nails; soak for about half an hour then scrub with an old toothbrush, works well, just DON'T soak them overnight, or you end up with 'rubber' models

Was just testing this out the other day, using mr muscle...got a little impatient...turns out that you need not leave the models overnight, the paint was easily removed after maybe 2hrs or less-ish.
Anyway, that's my 2cents...and great idea, never would have thought of it myself.

Never tried this on plastics because I presumed it would damage them but I used to use it on metals and wasn't impressed by the results at all; too much scrubbing and scraping required for my liking.
If you want to stip the paint/glue/varnish of metal figs (or flesh from bone) you need only one product... Nitromorse!
Be warned though, on a lethality scale of 1 to 10 this stuff gets a WMD rating of 11!
Then again Testors Dullcote causes birth defects and a lot of us use that crazy stuff o_0
