This was a good article. I was looking for something to explain why my brushes were wearing out so quick and to help me better take care of them.

Great, if you have good art stores in your city, not my case though, so i'm forced to live with cheap substitutes.

My brush, W&N is showing a fishtail....i havent cleaned it with brush cleaner, well because i never knew there was such a thing.
Its also showing having stray strands.
Can i fix this without actually going and buying a new brush?

Soo helpful, really opened my eyes to brush care, just in time, so I can start taking proper care of my brand new GW brushes :)

Very helpfull artickle. I want to add that when I started painting I had a lot of trouble maintaining a fine point. This had nothing to do with the brush I used but with the way I used it. I got quite frustrated but then someone told me you should always paint in the direction of your brush strokes. This helped me out.

thanks for all the information, I was on the verge of replacing some of my brushes and now have a better idea of what to look for.
