Sweet! I've been looking for an inexpensive tripod, and this definitely fits the bill! Hopefully there's a camera shop near me that has these things.

Unfortunately I've tried out this and other mini tripods and almost universally they are not really 100% suitable for miniature photography. Although they aren't bad for general use or horizontal photos (of ranked units for example), since most minis are taller than they are wide you really need to mount your camera vertically rather than horizontally as this pic shows.

Far better to buy a proper tripod that allows you to mount your camera in any orientation. Sadly this and other miniature tripods are very limited. Don't be fooled by the low price.

While I don't think it is appropriate in every situation, I still think it is a solid recomendation for someone with a budget. Monsters and mounted figures usually need to be photographed in a portrait orientation, but I have had very few infantry figures that can't be photographed well in landscape orientation. It is certainly limited, but I think that's pretty obvious when you buy something like this that it is not applicable to taking pictures outside or anywhere that you don't have a good surface to rest it on. Its not a misleading product I don't think.
