Great idea! To change the tones, you could dip the rope in diluted colors, like green, before using it.

The rope is not that visible, so if you want a different color, use different foliage. Most of the rope is covered under it.

What a great idea with the rope; I can see all sorts of alternative applications for it. I didn't guess it was for the trees, more like ground foliage. Nice clear and simple tutorial with a great end product. Toilet paper too - who would've guessed

The ground looks like there is static grass sprinkled in random splotches of PVA glue. Apart from that it's an awesome article. Too bad I play high elves

Do you tear the toilet paper in to small bits first or just try to sheet it on as big as it can go? Single or double ply
