Good article. I really appreciate all the pictures of the steps since they are very helpful in following what you are doing. I will have to give this a try.

Your article is very good. I have a question. Do you leave the miniatures in the base when you are baking it? Thanks.

Nice job! The only thing I would mention is to make sure the dispay matches the mini bases when sculpting and painting.

I liked this article a lot. Very useful, and great pictures.

I don't really have time for gaming anymore, but I still like to paint figures. For me, a display base like this would be really nice, because I get enjoyment out of displaying the figures in a diorama-like setting, but they would still be available to use on the tabletop, if I were to get back into gaming in the future.

Hey.... Awesome! This is just what I needed, right when I needed it! Great job keeping the writing plain and easy to understand as well!

to zenmaster, no! take the minis out of the base before baking :) Also, Sculpey is supposed to be baked at higher temps than I use; I keep the temp around 200 degrees and cook longer, so that I don't burn the wood base. Also, don't stain/varnish the wood before baking.
