You\'ve got a really graphic, stylised look Mark - and that\'s not a criticism! This guy is very charicatured and I like that a lot - bags of personality.
You do big guys very well indeed. Definitely some scope for a line of ogres/ogryns etc. Space/cyborg trolls would be good too!
yes very nice I dont much care for the elongated look but the quality is there indeed be nice to see him finished..since you like doing 54mm scale we may have some work for you in our Myths of Legend Line if youre interested.

Thanks.
The elongated body is something intentional.
This started as a 28mm scale figure for the pirate comp at Hasslefree. I wanted a really tall guy for it and based it on 54mm stretching out the figure. ie making him taller but not as wide.
Ive been looking at the waist myself as Ive been doing the hands and while its what I wanted I still think I will beef it up a bit so its not too drastic.
Shoulder pads....no. He is a pirate guy and I see him as bare topped shining in the sun.
I like the arm band idea.
hey, this guy would look great next to my other Klute Original...
The face is wonderful, and the stretched stomach does give him a bizarre, tormented type appearance, but I\'m not sure if I am too keen on it. Regardless, your sculpting is improving with every lil bit o green. Very impressive.
Klute thats great and wild you mention hes a pirate as we have a green now from jason wiebe in 54mm scale which is the first of a set..hes the second mate and has 4 various hands..so we may do something here for sure..from the elongated look you have i think you would do good on lanky trolls also..so alot of things we could have you do

Looking good to me Klute. Only thing i had to offer was his mid-section looking very \"Toothpick Vick\"-ish, but you said you were going for that. Face looks good, i like the weapon and his boots are dang purdy. Good work.
As a pirate, I think a coiled rope or lash hanging off his belt would be perfect. Also, I would think some type of knife (more like a tool than a weapon) would work. Something with a unique blade, hawk\'s bill or something, so it\'s clearly a utility item; but would easily be useful for other purposes.
I shall put some of my greens up so your not alone. I\'m currently trying to sculpt all the students in my class......chainmail and monsters are not allowed though.
I love the spear.
*edited: Here we go. Heres what will be my first 100% sculpt. Its a green of me sculpting me sculpting me...if you know what i mean
do you really impale yourself on a pole when sculpting?!!
great work guys. as for the pirate. i say a coil of rope with hook on the end and a fish tied to his belt. don\'t put too much on there though, don\'t want it to look too cluttered.
ok here\'s my offering. an update on the wip i posted earlier. the body looks too small at the mo but i can bulk that up. using fimo and it\'s a pain because it doesn\'t stick to itself once cured.
i have a question about him though. how shall i base him. i was thinking of a just a flat bottom to what i have a the moment. any other ideas?
klute a cutlass shaped knife would be good, very in keeping with the pirate theme. Bracers/wristbands also, and of course some hoop earings also. maybe a gold doubloon on a chain around his neck would work as well.
I have put some strappings around his forearms as well as a \"belt\" around the top of a bicep. Theres a coil of rope and a knife also.
Likely to be a bottle of grog too.
Hmm he would have a pouch for money too I think.
