Article: Site layout changes

I like the new layout and really like the "Today's Posts" option in the drop-down on the main page.

Today's Posts - The actually exists in the forum "quick links" drop down as well.

Colors - Once everything is setup I'll adjust the style sheet to change the menu colors.

Bottom links - These are links that are generally not of much interest to general users (stuff like advertising info, contact etc) so it's stuffed down there.

look good.
I might had missed it but..did you advertise the changes befor they occur?
I said it because I had problems connecting (suppose because of the changes) but could not understand what was wrong!!!

No, I normally don't broadcast changes in advance if they are for minor tweaks. Usually this is done when everyone in Europe and the US is Zzzzzzz, sorry to panick you :)

Yes it is nice , I noticed yesterday here the site was down but you could access the index,after a few minutes it returned...I do not envy your site maintenance it is quite a bit of data. Thank you for all that you do for us Chern

A big improvement, this site is awesome but navigation is a bit difficult.

Could still come a long way if you wanted it to, feel free to check out my company www.bkdsn.com, we could give you a nice graphic overhaul and tie in all those menus etc into a smooth, coherent coolmini brand!

i have trouble telling when im logged in. before, all the categories would have a dash if i wasn't logged in now there is nothing. i just voted on about 50 minis as an unregistered voter (and now ill see them all again....). a bit of a pain because i use several computers, and cant be bothered to see if im logged in :wink: .
perhaps if the "sign in" box were bright red?

I'm especially enjoying the drop down options to visit "todays posts" from the forum link. Nice shortcut that. :victory:

I'm using another colour scheme than the default so whenever I see the 'standard' colours I'm not logged in. ;)
But apparently I'm unable to at the moment...

probably unable to login on the homepage...

i'm having that problem...
i tried logging in from both the front page, but no love...
somehow it is logging me into the forums, but not the homepage...

i tried logging out, and then logging in through the forum, and clicking "remember me", but still no love on the frontpage...

i have some new stuff to upload this weekend, and i just subscribed so i can link my auctions, so hopefully i will be back in business soon:(...
