Hi, my name is Mathieu Fontaine. I am one of the organizers for the previous Montreal class with Jeremie and a member of Team Montreal. Let me tell you that this is a golden opportunity for any of you willing to improve your skills. The format used by Jeremy in order to transmit his knowledge makes it very easy for anyone to grasp and apply the various concept. At our own session we had painters from every levels, golden demon winners to someone who had started painting 6 months prior to the stage and the comments were unanimously positive.

150$ is far from being expensive. Anyone who has attended seminars in the past knows that 150$ is far from the usual prices of other 3 days training session. Whether you are an army painter or a competition painter or simply painting for the pure pleasure of it and you want to improve your skills do not hesitate! It is worth taking a week vacation!

As for ourselves we are working on a second class in Montreal with a different painter, which is already fully booked, and we are definitely planning to bring Jeremie back for a level 2 class. For those wondering how to organize such things, it is easy. Send an email to Jeremie and see with him what are the possibilities.

Until then enjoy your classes and I might see some of you at GD France, Toronto or Chicago next year;)!

But where and when in Seattle?

It is probably too soon for Frenchkid to confirm that. He has a full itinary to plan around the various cities that will be selected and the activities that Jeremy will attend. So probably the best right now is for you to confirm that you want to attend at Seattle and wait for more details.

As for why not Vancouver... well why don\'t you start looking in eventually organizing something in Vancouver? Furthermore Seattle is not far from Vancouver so there you go;)

I think arkanseth answered the question pretty well.
Anyway I\'m not sure the where in seattle is really relevant at the moment :) As for when, well between mid july and mid august, not during the Gencon and not during the Gd chicago ;) can\'t help you more then that, but if you are interested send the e-mail and I\'ll make sure you\'re kept informed :d

I can\'t come to Seattle, as it\'s still a bit too tough to make, but if there was some way to do it in Vancouver that\'d be great.

Well it seems we have our first two city that meet requirements. So Seattle and Washington will be getting a visit from us next summer :D

re: Jeremie in Seattle

Since Seattle, in Washington state, has officially qualified as one of Jeremie\'s 2007 US tour stops for his 3-day painting seminar, if you live in or near the Seattle area, here is a little helpful info if you are wanting to attend the Seattle area seminar:

DATE: The exact dates are not known yet, but are expected to be in either July or August of next summer, but I understand definitely will not be the weekends of GENCON in August or Chicago Games Day in July. I expect we will learn the exact dates sometime soon.

CLASS SIZE: Space is limited to 14 people for the seminar to ensure the participants get the individual attention they have paid for. It is currently projected that the number of people wanting to attend the Seattle area seminar will probably exceed the 14 person limit. So, I am not sure, and of course cannot speak for Jeremie and Arthur, but I strongly suspect the opportunity to attend the seminar is likely to be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

So if you want to attend the Seattle area seminar, you MUST email your intention to Arthur (\"Frenchkid\") at: paintinglessons@yahoo.com

...and I would recommend you put your request in earlier rather than later.

Helpful hint: Posting a comment or reply to this thread on CMON is fine, but simply posting your interest and desire to attend the seminar on the CMON thread is NOT sufficient. You have to actually email Arthur at the above address.

Good luck to all who want and plan to attend the Seattle seminar !

Hmm... with Seattle and San Francisco already being made official, what are the chances of the Southern California area -- L.A./San Diego (as I\'m sure people from one could make it to the other just fine, if necessary) -- making the cut? ???

It seems like I may be able to come to Seattle, and if I don\'t make it there, I could come to the one in Toronto, if there is one.

Seattle seminars

Hi all --

Update on the date question everybody keeps asking me about the Seattle seminars.....

No, I am sorry but as far as I know the exact Seattle dates have not been set yet, or at least, I do not know them.

But here is what I can tell you that I do know:

It is my understanding that the Seattle seminars will be held in August 2007 AFTER GenCon Indy. My understanding is also that the dates for the 2007 Indianapolils GenCon are August 16th-19th. ...so the two 3 day seminars are expected to take place towards the latter half of August.

Also, it is not expected that the two seminars will be held on adjacent weekends. Most probably it will be somthing like saturday to monday for the first class and perhaps thursday to saturday for the second one--something along those lines. This way Jeremie and Arthur will get a little rest in the middle of the two seminars and neither class will get stuck in the middle of the week.

Caveat: The above is my understanding only. The final and precise info will come from Arthur and Jeremie (not me) and I expect posted here and elsewhere.

However, again, if you even want to get ON the list for consideration, you have to write in so that you can be considered and at least been in line. I sound like a broken record, but no, my understanding is that simply posting your interest or consideration about attending here on the thread won\'t get you on the list . WRITE IN to subscribe and get considered.

I can\'t tell you how many people have asked me for the exact dates (hey! I just live here, you guys!) or said to me they \"need to know the dates\" before they send their email. But I honestly think that is not going to work. By the time the exact dates are known, I expect the lists for both Seattle seminar dates may be full with a lot of names ahead of yours. (That\'s just my opinion.)

Just look at your calendars at the latter part of August 2007, after GenCon, and if you want to attend and realistically can likely make the trip to Seattle at that time frame, write in to Arthur at: paintinglessons@yahoo.com

I bet we will learn the exact dates fairly soon, so don\'t despair. :)

And besides, Seattle is gorgeous in August. Come see for yourself.

Hi all,
Ok so things are getting slowly into shape. final dates have not been fixed yet, will get around to it very soon, but still need some things cleared up with Jermie first ( got to listen to the boss :p). In the mean time, approximations of the date have been posted on the all new painting lessons forum right here :
http://www.topbb.com/paintinglessons/

all your questions and concerns will also be addressed there, so go have a look.
Cheers. !!
