There\'s probably a lot more articles, we just don\'t know it. Like I said in my article, it\'s been used for hundreds of years in making metal on oil paintings and such. But \"How to paint metal\" is a little broad for that search as you\'ll get tutorials how to paint alloys. Metal and opaque together might be more of a help on search engines like Google.com or your favorite...

Yeps, I tried google on NMM and stuff like that only. Maybe I should give the keywords you mentioned a try...

Well Corvus, i found the articles here by Qiao-zhong and Chrispy very good. If you\'re able to follow-thru step-by-step and understand the essence of it, practice and practice, you certainly have a good grasp of NMM.

Sometimes reading too much differing articles can hinder your progress instead. After all, art is not an exact science. It is a matter of opinion and taste.

Note: Once upon a time, i consolidated numerous articles on blending and got so confused with the various techniques that I screwed up badly on a mini...its still standing there as a testimony to my ultimate shame. lol
