a sentiment some of Britain shares, so we mixed in hooliganism and thinks brightened up noticeably.

Anywho, a good job here, and finally a win to boast about

I refer you to my current sig lol

but seriously, an average team only just beat a slightly above average team on home soil

looking at the stats its quite amazing: 7 aussie centurions to 2 english, top 3 wicket takers were aussies

...its a curious game

Casey Jones: New game. Cricket.
Raphael: Cricket? Nobody understands Cricket! You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand Cricket!
Casey Jones: I\'ll teach you. *WHACK!* See? That\'s five runs...

Congratulations. Now you have won it more than once in the last ten years you can start to learn how to retain them.

In a sense they never left England, whoever wins them they remain in a display case in England.

For me however this result has a note of personal tragedy and misery. I fly out to England next Monday. It is bad enough with the Poms here, let alone in their own country.

Test cricket is one of the greatest competitions known to mankind. Anyone who thinks it\'s boring has no understanding of it. :D

The Aussies are a shadow of their former selves. I\'ll stop short of saying they\'re a spent force, but I doubt they\'ll see a rush of players like McGrath, Warne, Waugh, Gilchrist, Hayden, Langer etc again. That team of the 90s-00s was killer. McGrath and Warne could rip the heart out of any batting lineup. Thank Christ they\'re gone! lol

Now then, let\'s see if there are any more South Africans we can steal....

Gotta love it when Aussies lose :D

I particularly like Punter\'s variety of sour grapes. He congratulates the opposition through gritted teeth usually. That\'s proving to be more difficult for him since Trott knocked them all out! lol

love it - now may i quote from an interview Sebastian Archer gave over on wamp.....

Is it true Australia will lose The Ashes this summer?

Not a chance! 2005 was clearly an aberration – this year things will be back to normal ! haha

Sebastian Archer - im looking at you!!! (shame i didnt bet you your mini collection!!)

Much like the Welsh Grand Slam last year, the second time around just isn\'t as exciting initially. However, it indicates a better chance of sustained success. Time will tell! :D
