Assembling the rider on mounted units.

Hello.. :)

I have a little question. I haven\'t painted many mounted units before, and realized that it\'s harder than I first thought. I got the units assembled and everything, filled all gaps with green stuff etc. But the rider doesn\'t really fit ontop of his mount. I\'m talking about a Cold One here and a Dark elven Knight on top of him. He keeps falling off!! :~(

How do you normally get a knight (or any kind of rider) to sit firmly on top a cold one (or any kind of mount)? Do you glue him on with super glue or use green stuff? I also had the idea of drilling a hole in the rider\'s.. err.. behind and another hole in the cold one\'s back, so that I can lift the rider on and off if needed..

Any tips?

Thanks.

Ouch

you are quite right about pinning the riders to the mounts it also keeps them in place incase you drop them. Here is an example unfortunately not my own
Darkblades Rider

as you can see he also hold the pin in a pin vice for painting purposes hope this helps :D

ya pinning works well for most of my mounted units, also gives me a chance to use the mounts for other things, like pulling chariots when I can\'t fit a full unit into the points limit.
