Auctions on CMON Do they help sell????

Hi to you all. not sure if the subject has been discussed before... Auctions shown here on CMON, ie ebay.. does it help you sell you miniature etc, in a discussion with friends, why advertise an auction here on CMON when all who look are sculptors and painters, so why would they buy another members miniature.
Or do non members / collectors watch CMON to see whats on offer.
I have always done well on ebay with a few regular buyers and most seem to be overseas. so would buying credits and link my ebay auction improve my sales.

There are non-members that lurk here. And I\'ve bought other artists minis as well. I just aquired Tracy Brady\'s war jack that appeared in the No Quarter Mag issue # 14. She got honorable mention and then put the mini up on Ebay and advertised it here. I ended up paying $40.00 + for it.

There are several collectors who lurk this site (I know because I have been contacted by a few...). Also, there are painters who also like to collect other painters\' stuff.

I\'m a collector and I consider myself a loud lurker... I frequently check out the listed auctions on CMON.

It\'s a PITA at times, to search on ebay... does one search for Pro or Painted or what? There are a lot of pro painters out there who seem to paint with a decorating roller, just as there are unknown/hobby painters who are bloody good. CMON is very handy for being able to view the better minis.

Of course, I have a number of mini painters on my ebay searches but never pass up a chance at a good mini.

auction adverts on CMON..

:) ok guys and girl.. lol.. I will try it out when next few minis are ready for auction.

thank you for you time..

Cant hurt.. certainly gets you more auction views..before I used the feature I might get a couple hundred views..using the feature 1500-2000 views of the auction.

When posting on CMON I will get about 400-500 views. Once, just to see if there was a difference I put something on Ebay and didn\'t post it on CMON.............40 views...nuff said.

I agree with shawn on the number of hits....

strange things happen with scores though....if they matter to you.....

generally the registered average goes up with those that take time to look at additional views and then vote ...
but unregistered drops ....I think there are certain groups on here that think the score it gets on CMON will affect the quction price ..just check out some of the differences between unregistered and registered scores on some of the ebay advertised items...it\'s amazing....
