the transfers i do to a sculptor are FAR cheaper in regards to what the sculptor recieves which means they don't have to increase the price to compensate for paypals fee.
Paypal just made it more convenient for the majority of people and convenience often comes at a price.

You get an international rate that is better than 3%? I know that Bank of America does international transfers for around $30, which makes it better for transfers out above $1k, but generally for anything lower than that a wire transfer isn't worth it.

Bank charges within the UK have realy dropped over the last ten years as long as it is within the EU or the common wealth.

(thank god Automaton is within the commonwealth!)

I totaly understand what your saying Chern and for the majority of people paypal is easier (the charges for business work out roughly the same for excepting paypal or credit cards from what i understand, i can't be arsed faffing with credit cards to be honest.)

edited to add, international transfer charges have dropped in the uk (big difference!)
