I did a similar fig a while back and decided to totally re-sculpt it so it can be cast. Soon to enter the que at Armorcast and get cast up for sale. I'll definately make it known when it's available.

Shawn, that looks like fun. Build the full sized working prototype and I'll stand in line to get one.

He needs a rudder or a fan on his back to keep him from spinning (yaw).

I know IRL that would be needed. Do you thing it would need one on this mini to make it look OK? I like the overall composition of this piece and was concerned with getting it too busy.

What about something really steampunky?
I'm thinking delta shaped with several scallpes on the trailing edge. Kinda cobbled on like he found out the hard way he needs one.
Very orkish.

Anyone remember the old Goblin Magic: TG cards? I can just imagine the caption on this guy:

"Uh, yeah Boss, but how do we get down?"

Had an idea last night. Would make it work, and would keep it simple.
Counter-rotating blades. Add another set of blades on top set to spin the opposite way.

Or,
just put a magical gyro gem on the back.

I had thought of the counter rotating prop thing but really wanted to keep it simple (and cheaper). I liked your idea of the cobbled look so I'm going to make a power drill with a prop strapped onto a funkey frame made of pipe for the little fan in the back.
