i am NOT feelign this film. the fact that they are using cgi 100% for the avatar character just makes me think jar jar binks.

i have never liked it when you have a cg character 100% rendered...the motions are always too fluid and doesnt feel real to me. i am feeling a big let down already for this.

now avatar: the last airbender is something i can wrap my head around.

Yeah seen the trailer - but the preview was 15 minutes and in 3D.

To a degree I agree uber - But it does depend how they captured the montion. Special effects are by WETA and although the lord of the rings sucked midget gay poo, Gollum was pretty believable.

Hopefully they hooked someone into the golf ball suit for and had them act out the character, like they did for Golom.

As for avatar: the last airbender, I\'m scared. M. Night Sham a lam ding dong is the director, so how is he going to screw up the story with one of his \"plot twists\"? lol:evil:lol:evil:

Since he\'s the director and not the writer I think we\'ll be \'realtively\' safe.

it does look stunning, but to be honest even from that short trailer the general direction of the story is prety obvious

He wrote the script for the first movie. He has actually turned Fire Nation into some kind of Persian Rohirrim.
Apparently with no power to produce pyrokinetic fire by themselves.

Really, he has already screwed The Last Airbender, there\'s a boycott campaign and everything. :(

Not convinced. It looks utterly artificial from the trailers I\'ve seen and little more than an up-market Clone Wars.
see that sounds fine to me, i quite liked clone wars? does that make me a bad person? :D

Sorry Scott but am I the only one to see humour in that you are talking about a Science Fiction Film set on another planet, with 7 foot blue skinned natives and floating rocks? :D
