They're actually making the Green Lantern movie, but this was done before the official announcement. So disappointed that Nathan Fillion won't actually be in the GL movie.

It was "Battle of the Planets" back in my day.

Is it just me or did the heros in that Gatchaman trailer do more damage to the building then the bad guys?

SuperVike, what the @#$@# was that all about? Floating bodies on balloons?

Yeah that fan trailer for GL looks bitchin'. I like Ryan Reynolds, but Nathan Filion woulda been great. Also Hugo Weaving can do anything. Either way, it looks like a Canadian gets the ring.

well, technically that's a game we'll never play and not a movie... :p Subject for yet another thread maybe?

BTW, about the Green Lantern trailer I thought I spotted clips taken from Star Trek (and on second watching, one of the Matrix sequels) and for anyone like me who didn't know it was apparently made by a fan!!! When you know this it becomes easy to realise you are seeing a modified version of the Silver Surfer once or twice.

I'm surprised noone's linked Duke Nukem Forever yet =P
Ah vapourware... we hardly knew you.

As well as smash cuts from Firefly and at least one voiceover from Lord of the Rings.

Thundercats isn't coming, sadly. That would be such a blast, though. But, the thing that sort of strikes me is that, more and more, Hollywood is loosing its own originality. There is nothing 'new' made anymore. It's remakes of older movies, or based on comics, books, video games. Assassin's Creed the movie. Thundercats the Movie. Eragon the Movie. And so on and so one. Seems as if all the really 'BIG' movies are based on something. The one exception being Avatar, though you can probably trace that to something else, too.
