Coming up in december is the 3 large rare monsters for warhammer Beastmen:

Thhe jabberslythe looks quite good actually considering the bad pic, but it is finecast so its gonna cost a fortune and be riddle with casting errors.

The other 2 just look awfull, bad poses, ugly heads, pot bellies and weedy weapons....and Skulls everywhere.

Banebeasts take on one of these looks alot better in my book

Luckily for beastmen players that the monsters never get used due to being overcosted....

GW just gets farther and farther away from the style of minis i like.

I am praying they dont ruin Tau and Eldar in the near future.

I like the Jabberslythe, it's hideous but I really like it. The Cygor/Ghorgon seem to be missing a good concept. Both feels like a weird conversion from the GW giant. I like parts of them but the whole doesn't work for me. The squigs look pretty cool, full of character.

I hated the minotaurs when they were first released, then after a while I really liked them. Now I'm indifferent. These monsters though I liked straight away. Except the jabberslythe that everyone else seems reasonably keen on. Doesn't do anything for me.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I looked at them, Avelorn. Hmmmm...wonder what would happen if someone kit-bashed the two together. ;)

I had a Beastmen army with the last edition of the army book and wasn't impressed when they changed 90% of the army list (dropped demons, ungors on a smaller base, etc). Was thinking that when they released the new big beasts I might be inspired to rehash them - sadly I'm not. They're OK, but don't do anything for me - the Ghorgon just isn't bulky enough for my liking.

WTF - all of these minis are completley hideous

The Minotaur giant things - just looke like somebodies shit conversion of the standard giant.

Why have the taken a good idea for a jabberwock and produced a that.

And the Squigs - all previous squigs have looked pretty cool these look like cheap 1980's Ghostbusters toys.

Whom ever they've got designing these new monster, all the Storm Of Magic crap and these needs to be seriously fired.

I'm so glad there are so many more Fantasy miniature companies out there.

The Tomb Sphinx was the last good mini GW produced, Forgeworld stuff is much more attractive, but over priced

Didn't care that much for the Tomb Sphinx, I like the jabberslyth, the squigs and cockatrice better so I guess opinions differ.

Sometimes it feels like people take it people almost take it personally when GW release something they think is bad but I suppose the prices are a part of it though "how can they possibly ask this much for that" But I just shrug and don't buy it. I tend to see bad sculpts as a motivation to get my tools out "well I can do better then that" and start thinking about how...

I thought all the SoM stuff was fine too. Different strokes for different folks though eh. I've been appalled by a lot of GW's output over recent years.

I used to love the character of GW orks and goblins...Now? NNnnnnnnot so much...No. The scale doesn't even go to ten anymore. Currently starts at "utter toss" and goes up to a (staggering) "Meh".

The sculpts haven't gotten any worse thought they've obviously have had stylistic changes during the years - it's your mind that have broadened by the likes of Enigma etc. and in some cases by growing up! :)

Remember that GW have a few of the most talented people in the business sculpting for them, now enhanced by Aragorn Marks and Steve Buddle. I'm very much looking forward to what they will put out.
