What is that thing between his feet? It is obviously metal, but if it has an edge on it, that could get dangerous as it swings while you walk. Kinda dumb place to leave your knive, eh?

It looks like a veggie knife, you know those you use to cut tomatoes and paprika. I guess he\'s the army cook in addition to being the drummer.

Nice that one gets an 8 from me. The only thing I would change is the base, the soft pastel like color make me think of the beach rather then the desert, that might justj jbe me thought. Really nice job with the flask in is back, I never know how to do those

Yeah, thanks. I had some troubles with the base and it didn\'t exactly turn out the way I wanted. Will do a different one for the next Dirz.

Good job man. The only thing that distracts me is the base all the pastels seem to draw my eyes away from the mini. good job though, welcome back!

Since you painted him, what does the musician do for a dirz army? as is what is his role?

Not so difficult questions for a non-player please. I have no idea what he does...but I guess he\'s there for moral support, so perhaps you have +1 on ini for each soldier in your army as long as the drummer lives. *shrug*

A tomato is a normal fruit (yes its a fruit!) and paprika would just not be the first thing off the top of my head after tomato thats all

I\'ve posted a comment but missed a point off. The blue gloves are great, but I think the shadow definition around the fingers and palm of the hand could do with being strengthened.
As for the base I think it looks Ok, like sun bleached stone.

Hey!! Mike, you resisted the hammer!! You\'ve been getting a bit free with it....I was about to take it away from you, but I guess you got a grip on your bone-crushing spree.

Sweet mini, Gypsy...Love the skin tones, and the drums. I think the blue could do with a bit more highlighting, though. One little niggle I have is the blueish colour of his base...looks almost like the original polystyrene styrofoam.

Only thing is, nelson: it\'s not even polystyrene but cork. And as I said, I don\'t like the base either. It was my first attempt at a \"desert base\" and is quite far from what I had in mind. Although it\'s not so bad in RL.
Is there something like a tut about this?

About the gloves and stuff, I didn\'t want to add any lighter colours because I was afraid the violet would look too creamy or pinkish. But I see the problem, I\'ll try mixing the last highlight with a bit of red or something next time. Any ideas on that?

Trevor, you said something about a blue backround. I\'ve actually used one for my other minis and I think those photos are even worse because not only the backround but the whole mini looks blue. Adjusting it in Photoshop only resulted in all colours looking different from the real mini. *sigh*
