Baby Kade!!

Well here\'s my version of Wyrd\'s Baby Kade!
I had tried to do an underpainting effect for the viens, ala Ritual, but although it came out alright, was no-where as near as good as his!
I tried to go for natural skin tones, so elf flesh mixed and highlighted to Bleached bone on this fella, with the exception of a brown wash for defination.
I decieded not to paint any blood on the knife, as quite frankly im rubbish at it!
And those eyes! Arrrgggghh! How small they are. this little fella only stands about 1.4cm tall!
But please comment, ecause i might buy another one (or two!) after xmas time and would like to improve on his one!
(Plus what colour should i paint the rim on the base?)

I like it.I voted a 6.I really like the base it looks v.rrealsitic and the bear.I like Kade\'s staring eyes(dont know if this was intentianal):D

The actual skin is what lets it down i know you wanted to try to paint in veins i like the idea but the application dosnt work to well.It looks slightly like some of a black indercoat is showing through.MAybe get rid of the veins and i think the score will go up deffinatly

good work:D

voted 5, this model seems a bit too human and alive for my liking, more greyish tone to the skin, and some faceshadings, and this Im sure would get 6.5\'s - 7:s

I agree with the skin tone. It would look better being pailer. Also I noticed some of the joins betwwen Kade and the bear have some paint overlap and could use some black lining. The viens look good tho they are well done. I like the base as well. Did the vote thing.

AHA! I wondered what RItual\'s avatar was from!! lol

So just how small IS this li\'l dude? :)

I agree with what\'s been said already, and also that you need to work on your highlighting, as several areas look a bit flat.

I think the overall skincolour works nice, it\'s just the brown shadow that doesn\'t work. Make the shadows a less saturated colour and for a bit more sickening look mix in purples. For the vessels you can try to do them in slightly different colours but imo the effect is still good.. One more pointer would be that the face needs more definition above the eyes. Nice job!

totally agree about the black lining, on the arm around the bear, and the shadow tones on the skin, i\'d go for greys. the eyes don\'t work for me, they look un finished, but nice base matty
