Back In The Saddle Again

Well I haven\'t painted for at least 6 months and today I am going to start again. Any tips on getting back into the groove again would be great. I\'m finding it hard to concentrate very long. Guess I\'ll have to take it slow.

Not all of it is likely to be relevant, but there are some good pointers:D

dried paint!

I took a hiatus from painting once. It lasted about 6 months. Prior to my sebaticle I had amassed a pretty good collection of Citadel (GW) paints. When I sat down for the first time after my absence I found that most of my paint pots had not been sealed fully and were now dried. I tried to use the hard paint like a crayon, but it was to no avail. They made great garbage though.

ps. What I\'m trying to say is make sure your materials are still good.

It was only after he\'d finished the post did Barkel realize that his rant needed a point, and one was hastily affixed. :p

after an 18 year break i found all my old mini\'s (GW and RP etc.) have shrunk , my brushes are too big, nobody uses humbrol any more and metallics are not metallics. So think on and do not leave it too long.
