Just had 10 days in OPORTO for the Urban Sketchers Symposium and a holiday.
Done more sketching in those 10 days than the rest of the year.
Learned a few things, I can read a bit of Portuguese, but speaking it is difficult, however when you try even to just ask for a coffee it is appreciated and greeted with pleasure.
Portugese people are incredibly friendly.
OPORTO is bl**dy steep. (And I’m seriously out of condition.)
On average an Americano coffee will cost you €1 (£0.89). And the Portuguese Coffee is superb.
Pastel De Nata is heavenly.
The Douro valley is Fantastic scenery.
The primary colour you see around is Windsor and Newton Venetian Red.
