I took a few weeks off from everything but work to get things in my life as close to \'back in order\' as is possible, and have started painting again.
So far, it\'s mostly just been assembling and priming things, and my workspace is now as big a mess as it ever was.
I\'ve got a Netherhound set to go, and it\'s just wonderful to look at, even just primed. Lots of ideas, there. Privateer Press\'s Lich Lord Terminus is in many pieces, and I\'ve assembled Arlith, the very pretty 54\" rooftop thief to stare at and be mildly intimidated by.
I\'ve also got a commissioned Lord Kroq and Carnosaur rolling, and when I can clear my photo-taking area enough, it\'ll be put in the WIP threads. He\'s got the most work done on him, with nearly 10 hours of actual brush-to-metal work done.
I may even get back to work on my long-idle Harbinger of Menoth conversion, which only needs painting and mounting on her base.
Yes, I\'m throwing myself into it even more than before. I have a lot more free time on my hands than I used to, outside of work.
No more wedding preparations to take up time, which is too bad, but the break-up (this time) was as amicable as is possible, under the cirucmstances. Julie wants kids as soon as possible, and a medical check, blood tests, and the works revealed that I simply won\'t be able to give them to her. Sucks to be me, that way.
Adoption wasn\'t an acceptable option for her. She wants \'the whole experience\', and it hurt, but I can understand it, I guess.
