I'm interested to see the actual gunslinger figure out of the box rather than the CG of it. There is a set on the home page that looks interesting but I have no idea if the figures they make are any good. Can you show us a picture of him?

Overall I'm pretty happy with the Malifaux figures. Unfortunately the CG picture was the only one I had handy. I will take some photos of the actual figures (before priming or painting) and post them tonight.

Finally had a chance to take a few pictures of the Malifaux figures. The riflemen are still being assembled but that should give you a good idea of how they look. I'm pretty happy with the figures so far. The pieces are a little delicate. I already snapped one of the gun straps while cleaning mold lines and had to glue it back together. I'm hoping to get either one of the riflemen or Willie painted this weekend, so that will give me a better perspective on how the sculpts and casts really are. But so far so good.

And here's Willie the Demolitionist. I already had him primed (and it's in black) so the details are a little harder to see.

Willie is the coolest of them. The others are nice too but they will show better once you put some paint on them.

Damn you Bailey ( just kidding :)), now I am going to spend more money an Malifaux mini's!

They really look like good sculpts and can not wait to see your paint job.

Wow I know I'm late to the party but that White Speaker is INCREDIBLE! I might have missed it but how did she do in the contest?

Thanks, she did pretty well, came in 4th out of 61 entries. There are still a few things on her that I want to tweak, then I'll upload her to the gallery here too.

Thanks, secretpaintgeek and Banemorth. As much as I would have liked to have won, I think the end results (at least the top 3) were as they should have been. I'm very proud of my White Speaker (one of my best so far) but there were some really great entries in the contest who deserved a higher place than mine.

In case you're curious, you can see all the results here: Wamp Results
And the gallery of entries is here: Kingdom Death Gallery (I think you need to be a member to see the larger versions)

I entered Bruiser Gus in their Red Box Games contest (voting is happening for that now). Hopefully I can crack the top 3 there.

Yeah you need to me a member to see the big pictures so I can really only see the Twilight Knight but I still like yours the best! I might be a little biased though. :D

Thanks for the support, Banemorth.

I haven't posted any pictures in a little while so I thought I'd post a sneak preview of my newest project. This is a Polish Lancer in campaign dress, another Napoleonic figure. It's a 54mm from Pegaso. Quite a few parts on this one and a lot will have to be painted before assembling. So I expect this to take a little while.

Just started on the painting. As this point I've finished the face and I'm starting to work on the body. Not much shading and highlighting on the torso yet. The coat should be a dark blue while the straps will be a bright white... so finding the right highlight and shadow range for each will be a little tough. I'll experiment a bit and see what looks right.

Also just got back the results from the Red Box Games competition over on WAMP. My version of Bruiser Gus took second place, so I'm pretty excited!

Man you are aggressive with the subjects. You got robbed in the red box contest. Keep on brother.

Thanks. You say 'mix of models,' I say some bizarre form of painting ADD. I like a lot of topics so my choice of figures seems to reflect that.

This isn't a new figure, but I recently dusted it off and took a few pictures using my new photo setup. I'm submitting him along with a few other figures to the Massive Voodoo Bananalicious painting contest. Since I liked the photos I thought I'd post him here too.

Picture quality is quite a bit better than what I posted in the gallery (http://www.coolminiornot.com/295402)

This guy is a pretty big figure, 200mm scale! The design work on the shield was done free hand. I used a pencil and a compass to layout the geometric pattern and then went over it with paint. The central figures were sketched in just with the brush.
