No kidding, you painted those details on the gold on his shako? Ha! Ain't that clever....
I wanted to share them with the CMON community. The first is Abyss. They're making some really cool looking fantasy and sci-fi busts and figures. Nothing for sale yet, but some very intriguing WIP sculpts on their facebook page and blog.

Sometimes it's nice to do something completely out of my comfort zone, so I think that creepy tentacle creature bust would be an awesome project. The sci-fi warrior bust would also be a neat project to paint.
Skrit, when I see a cool project like Abyss I like to share it. And Demi is correct, if you're looking for anyone to paint some of the figures let me know. You can take a look through my thread here or at my blog ( http://powellminipainting.blogspot.com/ ) and that should give you a pretty good idea of my level and style. If that's of interest then send me a message. Otherwise I'll just be eagerly waiting for the retail release.
Oh, I bet there are a bunch of talented artists on here who wouldn't refuse a bust to paint for the joy of painting and send the finished photos or even post WIPs as they go. This is a pretty generous community and they tend to throw support behind a lot of different projects both personal and business oriented for little to no cost.Well it is much appreciated!
Ehrm, not to sound like a cheapskate but at this moment I don't think we could afford you!![]()

Of course if you don't mind use an alcohol based paint (or enamel or whatever), then there are other options that can be just as good.
^^^THIS^^^ I got the gold and inktensity sets over xmas. Haven't really used them for a purpose but just started playing with them to see what they were like. Holy crap. Best metals I have ever seen come in acrylic form. I will be picking up the steel set next for sure.
