Yes, I\'ve actually finished another mini this year - yay me! Actually I\'ve posted another one this weekend but it\'s not as good so I\'m not telling you where it is ;)

i like the blues quite a bit. they are done nicely on the front.

the bloody face is pretty good too. i would however reccomend building up the light contrasts on the face. other than that, pretty good.

6.7 from me.

Thanks. The skin was a bit of a saga as I spent ages mixing up what seemed to be a perfect tone, blended up layers of highlights for hours until I was satisfied. Then the next day looked at it in daylight and it was bright pink!!! The light I was using to paint by had a reddish tint that really messed up my colours :(

love his robes/dress. the parchment on the back would look better with some scribble on it though. your photography seems to let your painting down

Quite a good mini - especially the metals, the bird skull and the parchment is good. The rope also looks convincing at the front but lacks a little on the back imo.

And we can\'t have any secrets here on CMON - :rolleyes: USED TO BE A SECRET
Think that guy is quite good as well, a bit more shading on the hair, beard and skin - and I think you would be looking at a 7ish rating on that one.

Thanks for the comments guys. My photography is definitely a negative for me but I have no space/time/cash to set up a decent rig of any sort and rely on sunshine and a borrowed camera at the moment.

I\'m very happy with the way the blue robes look on this mini as it\'s the most extreme I\'ve gone on highlights. Usually I keep them subdued so the mini looks more realistic in real life but pushed them a bit for the photos on this one.

With a title like that you know I had to look! I like the robes (dress if he/it\'s a tranvestite) and the wound on the bald head is very good too. How do you figure he/it\'s a thug?;)

I\'ve lived with him for several months and \"thug\" is putting it mildly ;)

BTW I did try some writing on the parchment but did it in ink and when I brushed some matt varnish on it disappeared :no:
