BALROG posture ?

I am working on the BALROG with whip from GW. I notice that due the weight of the item that the rear leg is always resting on sort of debris to support it even while trying to give it that \"in-motion\" look.
I dont like that. I was thinking of running a brass rod through the fore foot and securing it well and leaving the rear leg off the ground. This I think would give it more of an \"in-motion\" look. Can you picture that in your minds.

Please tell me what you think. Will that look odd or just fine. I need to know before I start drilling.

here is a link to the product page where you can see small pic of it

Should work as long a s the base is big enough to counter balance it and the joint is strong enough. I had a friend of mine make a 50mm metal base with a rod screwed into it to support a giant I built. Thats about how strong a connection I would use. You may be able to come up with something as good.

...and what do you feel about the visual appearance of the Balrog with its hind foot in the air like it just left footstep. ?
