I am not certain but I would say this is not a Forgeworld model as it is quite different in some areas than their Baneblades.
To say it is an early one I also think not as the Forgeworld baneblades have not altered in design since they were first released, there are different configurations of turrets weapons etc all on the same chassis but the actual design is basically the same.
I amy be wrong but I do not think so.

Well Tagron responded to your comments with this:

Im not questioning his integrity. Maybe someone sold him a fake.

Hmm while there are ome similarities they do look like different models. His does look like the the armorcast ones, but then at the same time it looks like the Forgeworld one as well. Maybe it is a fake or garage kit.

Heres the original tank unpainted, without convertions. I have two of the Armourcast models.

I think your unpainted version realy answers the question it is an Armourcast one. For one thing the angles on the Arnourcast are more rounded and not as sharp as the Forgeworld one. Mind you both kits are very nice I have a stormblade and it is a superb model.

It is patently obvious that it is the same as the armorcast version. I think the real question is did the armorcast version ever get sold under the forgeworld liscence? (I sais as much on the comment I made).

No freakin\' kidding

EDIT: I guess the next question is: shinjikun1 - does your Armorcast Baneblade have that same copyright notice on the bottom?

My baneblade has \"ARMORCAST Copyright 1990 Games Workshop Ltd.\" on the inside of the bottom and top hull pieces.

Ever heard the phrase \"The forgeworld baneblade kicks ass on the armorcast baneblade\"?:)

To expand on that point, the FW version is far more highly detailed, with more realistic weapons, armour, and tracks, and has extra features such as the drums on the back. And is also more expensive, despite being in production! The FW baneblade PWNS the armorcast version imo.

Thank You to Kman for solving that mystery. (I was about to let out a Charlie Brown AAARRRGGG!) I had suspected that it was possible the anouther company had once used the name Forgeworld, and was hoping that someone would reveal this info. I thought it pretty intense for someone to go to all the trouble of casting up that copyright stamp. Also apologies to Tagron, but now you know a more detailed history of your model and the fact that it is Super rare.:)

I thought that might be the case...

I have a \'Forge World\' Bauhaus Grizzly that comes from about the same era... and I am sure I remember seeing Banebledes and the like, but the memory plays tricks and your knowledgeable post about the current incarnation of Forge Worls had me convinced. At least I couldn\'t think of a way of explaining that I may have hallucinated FW stuff in a period when they supposedly didn\'t exist.

They made some good stuff as well. That Grizzly is a beast!
