Hi everyone, I need some help.
I\'m going to enter a painting comp. at the local gw store, and I happen to have a sisters of battle figure lying around which I will paint. I also made a banner for her, but I have no idea what to paint on the banner. I have never played 40k, only wfb, so I\'m not so familiar with the \"feel\" of SoB. Do you have any suggestions on what to paint on the banner? Pics of it are on my homepage, have a look :)

Thanks,
Anja

Fluer - De - Lis are the symbol of the sisters of battle in general. So you could use that as a basis.

Sisters are really a bunch of religious nuts. I imagine a lot of saintly/ angelic and cherubic imagery offset with a bit of extreme violence or symbols of this. The Fleur, as DR said is the identifying symbol of the whole order. These girls are basically zealots tasked with purging non-believing scum! Hope this helps - the Codex has some good ideas in it

Well if you feel you have enough patience, why not try this.

Fleur de Lis as a base and then using it, paint an angel sort of rising up (St. Celestine style). Use the Fleur de Lis as athe basis fitting the wings inside the petals to the sides and the angel\'s body inside the main petal. Then find a three short words that in Latin (Perhaps, Death to Sinners? you get the idea hopefully) and put these three words in the bottom petals.

Of course if you are thin on patience and/or time, I wouldn\'t suggest this.
